Hobby Horse 04:04
The less we apart darling the more that we break I got your picture in my wallet I see my face in your face well We’ve seen our world before explode in a fireworks display and scream Across the sky like a sunset over a ticker tape parade But there is no fire that can afford us while we buried our names in the ocean For a second they thought they knew us But no we hung up all our ghosts inside the forest I wanna be somebody I wanna be your hobby I wanna be your pony and we can do we want Nothing will prepare us for the grief that we face Or the routine and the boredom coaxing our hearts to disintegrate So chop the wood and build a fire put your clothes out on the wire Leave your wishes in the graveyard Their worth nothing out here Bend the branches of your tree in towards me Over the bed our tears and our laughs and our fears and our dreams But don't tell me that you've had enough Cause if you had enough there’d be nowhere left to go I wanna be somebody I wanna be your hobby I wanna be your pony and we can do what we want I don’t need to go your way and you don’t need to go my way All we ever really need is to know the way back home

Snowglobes 04:24
Burning on a cold night I meet you in 1999 Underneath the street lights with loaded lips We hung the moon as though it had always been missing And every color burst into my skull is shaking Like a snow globe Snow globe We got lost once the door was unlocked There was nobody home We roared down the hall on riot kisses Carol cannons goin' off all around our happy breathing We’re only animals for so long until we realize we don’t have to be alone
4.
Thieves 03:33
Take my picture in the street while the cars are all asleep Spray paint rocks golden or red and leave them in the park A random act you said all the guys you’ve been with leave and come back later on their knees But you don’t look back not for thieves The scholars promise rusted through while I was painting in your room No chains don’t clutter up my skull and I drink from where I want Only torches bite the dark when the sky becomes a choir I put my records with yours and watch the flowers Devour the hours We're spinning on fire Our eyes won’t keep quiet The end is beginning We’re rolling in the aisles I don’t get it but I don’t mind Keep us wild and keep us blind But just keep us in each others eyes forever If there is such a time

Canyons 04:10
Trails become paths become roads become channels become holes become rifts become canyons drips become pools become ponds become streams become brooks become lakes become oceans It's a long way out It's a long way down Why am I standing at the very bottom How did this boat take me so far Why can’t I see anyone anywhere I thought you were with me all along Tents become huts become houses become manors become strongholds become keeps become castles It's a long way out Is there no way out Why do I have so many rooms and towers Nobody lives here but me Why cant I see anyone anywhere I thought you would always be here with me Oh no where did I go This place is terrible

A mammoth in the ice around her eyelids A coward caught his fingers Red with roses I don't want to sleep with snakes around my bed But I will roam through ruins of a heart I used to frequent The devils’ around the corner He’s got a glass of water And I will always want what I can’t have Some of us will wander Always chasing thunder under the blue sky A hurricane crept through the gate Unnoticed the angels sung along with the commotion Guess I took to much but I build this place for us Don’t you see that all the best is worth the worst to notice But the devils’ around the corner He’s got a glass of water And I will always want what I can’t have Some of us will wander Always chasing thunder underneath the blue sky Don’t ask why Don’t ask why Don’t ask

She got a visitor He got a light He said I want to be here You ought to know I stepped right into this blooming She’s got feelings He’s got a car He will take her out Where there's no ceiling Bodies craving Young and vicious He said I don’t wanna leave you alone So I'm not going home Can I stay on your floor I won’t try anything wrong Given Bukowski and a slide projector He left them by accident (in Gainesville, FL) But it happens sometimes She always gave more then he could But sometimes it doesn’t And they get fruit sodas on the way home From dancing oh Yoko I hope we do this again But something was moving inside of both of them Chasing the rain from the mountains She said I don't want to leave you alone So I will follow you home Can I stay in your room I won’t try anything wrong All is fair I don’t care The things you don’t risk You will always miss

Dreamzzz 02:13
Do you want to be in my dreams You know I really want you to There we can melt like ice cubes And run away on a pink cloud Do you want to be in my dreams You know I really wancha to There you would never put me out There I would never let you down Do you want to be in my dreams You know I really want you to
9.
Most Of Us 03:46
Most of us weigh our dreams down with anchors Most of us work all day to have the night off Most of us have a kid trapped in our old bodies Most of us shine a light on what we don't have Most of us don't have time to spend having the time of our lives And end up wasting in the traffic Sometimes I can get so lost And other times I don't know how to have fun And sometimes my head falls off And other times I don't know what went wrong Most of us wish we could go back and change something Most of us kill romance with expectation Most of us dress our nightmares in plain clothes And most of us drown the full moon in our eyes Sometimes I can get so lost And other times I don't know how to have fun And sometimes my head falls off And other times I don't know what went wrong But if I go out tonight Will you leave the porch light on If I go out tonight Will you leave the porch light on

Night Kids 02:45
Here we go The sidewalk stage Everyone is an actor Playin themselves Betting on time As timeless as Excitement in the blood Of the lamps on the streets In the song that plays in your head When the sun goes down When the sun goes down When the sun goes down When the sun goes down We will own this town When the sun goes down Here we go Shadows walk No one knows What is hiding This is high Livin wild off the pearls That are hidden in the mouth Of the moon's playful light We're born Time after time When the sun goes down When the sun goes down When the sun goes down When the sun goes down We will own this town When the sun goes down

Surrender 04:30
I lost track Can we go back To when we were laughing We got cruel wings Who do sharps things With our voices I know you don't mean it Just like I know I didn't mean it Take a look The blood is red I don't want you to break again The table is not turning Cause there is no weight to anything It's all a game that no one wins Until they surrender We wake up We clean up We make a mess again I know when your feeling like a morgue The only way to go Is through the places we don't know Take a look The blood is red I don't want you to break again The table is not turning Cause there is no weight to anything It's all a game that no one wins Until they surrender I see you And you see me We're like mirrors I don't mind if you steal But don't drain me dry Surrender to me I will surrender to you Now we can see everything Spinning around in company I'll give away the storm To be a breath inside your lungs We lost the war Before the first shot But I didn't lose you

An afternoon in the room of wrecks gave me affirmation That this game of teeth had been rigged since my education And those wheels kept me up night Cuz the never turn around Then you woke me up from the dead with your pale sapphires I get it I get it We did it We did it I won't find the meaning of life the weekend And I don't mind I like the lemons Would you stop showing off Then the guests with the best wore their wigs to the echo chamber And they drained their glasses in salute to the voodoo major Sent my chair to the press and they asked me "how do you get around?" Well I float of course I replied then I did just that and they said We get it We get it I did it I did it I won't find the meaning of life this weekend And I don't mind I like the lemons Would you stop showing off My heart is synthesizing all my air born feelings Do you have a ride to the graveyard yet Can I get a ride Can I get a ride Can I get a ride

when the ice melted there was only us drinking the bottle you held to the moon we started the car then arrived in the eye of a road named after us before we knew what it meant to be young caught in the crime of a comet tail light he threw down the reigns in stark disbelief i was moving to Athens (Georgia) but fell off the truck when i heard you weren’t the one my tongue could taste the sun i called from the warehouse of cheap laundry art you delivered the treaty while i sat in the trash when i asked for a ride i thought you would just laugh but you answered with your drum an endless repeating hum dark parts that i can’t explain the queen she won’t let me get off of the train so i sleep and wait for the king to kill himself all is fare and i don’t believe in hell any way hands are cold starving for a mouth to fill a history of shopping inside a theory we opened the windows and slept through the war without clothes you drank the rain while i bled my right hand down the drain slashing a curious trail through the dark coiled and moaning in a little blue house with no one to tell us the strings are too loud we tore into our fate leaving pounds of wishes to waste the road split in half where the lighting fell down summers where counted on fingers until now where we watch as a flower turns into a cloud and carries itself in shapes we can see ourselves in her face well dark parts that i can’t explain the queen she won’t let me get off of the train so i sleep and wait for the king to kill himself while the saints are all preening on the shelf and the ambulance rides the ambulance the big mouth chokes out a laugh before it croaks we no nothing is all we’ll ever know so we run until we run out of breath then we walk
14.
Young Heart 02:17
Young heart don’t be safe The eyes will find what you crave Nothing in this world is gonna make you its slave Young heart carry your weight All that you love and all that you hate No ones gonna show you how to make your own way She had a man What difference does that make All is fair you know Look at it that way If he really loved her he’d a never let her go If he really loved her she’d a never found me though Young heart you found your twin So with a spark a story begins

well the lonely fox was waiting at the station while the choir rain was falling like a child when she found him he was soaked to the bone theres a million ways to make a man dry well he road down to the wall to find his fortune saw her swimming in the iron without shame “where you going with my eyes?” and she said “no where. you know it wouldn’t bother me if you came” all in all in all it’s never easy his hands grew dark when he tought she forgot him see a forest of quiet veins fill up with ink she was sleeping in a gown of thin distortion while his dreams were drowning in everything but her song rang clean in the morning when he made her feel safe without words so she melted all the trophies on the mantle and he buried all his models in the back yard all in all in all it’s never easy the years turn to months when your older and the months turn to weeks when your tired and the weeks turn to minutes when your diein and everything eventually causes pain but she still is soft in the garden unless the levvy breaks he still won’t ever cry holding on tight to the tail of a gamble and they don’t even need a reason why all in all in all it’s never easy what you give is what you give that is the payoff all in all in all it’s never easy
16.
White Whale 03:53
your hair was short and your neck wove down the marble stream beating in your chest a white whale carried us around you let me live inside your mouth and so i wait all doom and gloom in the concourse a perfect makeshift ceremony arrest me in the morning how did you find me in this pile of clothes “you were in the laundry” she said i don’t know flooded in our crazy song we jumped the gate to the garden a stole a watch from the ferrel snake baptised our tongues along the way it tunred you on for once i felt like an ocean the seed was buried in ancient light smothered we lay born in the night how did you find me in this pile of clothes “i was just getting dressed” she said i don’t know i climbed the mountain from the cot to test the honeycomb bridge the key i hid in your hair to save you found broke in and stole my face i followed you and heard the bells ringing in your room without the lights we ate the core Then sunk into your heaven’s floor how did you find me in this pile of clothes “you’ve always been here” she said we should go

We paint the rocks gold in the park Out in the dreamy street Picture me with your ancient lens Tied to the silk of your speech Drip down the shadows made out in time Lose me before I’m spent collect umbilical Wishing lint we will paint rocks golden I want to watch you melt all night Ghost warm in candle light The lunar piano dares our youth to taste the oracles Light gorging on fruit late then passed out Lay calm at perfect rest Candy glory stuck to our chests We will paint rocks golden Wake up in the collage cave bedroom Combine our collections Drain me again and again and again While we’re immortal and dumb long distance mountain call in the snow Homesick I don’t know why begin accent into the fire wearing The ring of your smile Don’t march the Cadillac's plague like fleas Best just to write our own gods row down the river Styx to Graceland We will paint rocks golden
18.
Then the baby had us on a dime We turned the corner Left our homes to grow new muscles In the heat dead of summer right Before we grew our angels We explored our bodies angles Our fever grew in stages Drinking engines in the dark Up and down the stairs We come and go I would go to work And you would stay home There’s bruises on our legs And on our toes up and down We're making our own roads Getting dressed in the apartment Scratching letters on the table Little hands inside the cradle We approach a giant hill I put a hammer to your mirrors Easy isn’t a word we use anymore Laying on a dead machine Torn from a dead history Up and down the stairs We come and go I would go to work And you would stay home There’s bruises on our legs And on our toes up and down We're making our own roads Scratching letters on the table Little hands inside the cradle We approach a giant hill I put a hammer to your mirrors Easy isn’t a word we use anymore Laying on a dead machine Torn from a dead history Up and down the stairs We come and go I would go to work And you would stay home There’s bruises on our legs And on our toes up and down We’re making our own roads We both came from different places Stray accidental space trash Barreling into each other now Your brother drains the water And the balcony is open Sit in flowers eating orange Watch the light burn in its place and I'm happy No one deserves anything at all
19.
You see she has no ceiling When the dead collect the dead She suffocates the sirens vagrant around his bed Sleeping in the water She tells him to come down and carry her away from here Before the river drowns He told her he found dragons and bullets in his head When she pulled back the curtain There was a feather in his hat And a ruby in their voices They slept in holy shrouds She used to sell him anything Before the river drowned You're the girl I do adore And underneath this coral arch I’ve known you times before he punches his head in protest When Napoleon dreams wet She cut away the fat with a strand of her hair bleach red And laid him down on cassettes with carousel and crown They wove goodbye to the caravan Before the river drowned You're the girl I do adore And underneath this coral arch I’ve known you times before The clocks keep our eyes fixed On the game they play with hands toss a coin A cup of ashes and proceed to far off lands Where we built a dream from nothing But a whisper from the ground And a laughing matchless accident Before the river drowned You're the girl I do adore And underneath this coral arch I’ve known you times before

You wear the bones I broke for you Made out of milk and yellowed books You paint your shoes to match the news We found a room to break into And calculate the space between our souls and sacred sex With the moaning of a cannon blast into the night A river bled out of your head And I dove in to raise your feet This is not how it ends I see a bridge to send surrender of the gate To some great depth I fight with poison You fight with fists We drank too much on Halloween But ended up under your sheets with glitter on our lips And hands a contract written on our faces maps Our fingers trace across our skin Conquering the stupid things We hide behind the walls We were born with conversations at their best Will never pull an apple off of a tree Do you see me Do you see me now Before we sleep We both say good night

October 05:10
Pick up your head I swear I get to like too much of one thing Swim suit pretty She told me this is when you get To take back everything You didn’t mean When it all breaks down and the buildings run bare We can touch the sky Golden strings in your hair We can drink ourselves And become the next stage We were built to spill But only half of us Will cover me up with your body I swear it isn’t easy alone Waiting for something I hope I don’t live with regret God dammit I just forgot about it all When it all breaks down and the buildings run bare We can touch the sky Golden strings in your hair We can drink ourselves And become the next stage We were built to spill But only half of us will Its quiet underneath your dress And its cold without the summer And its hot without the winter When it all breaks down and the buildings run bare We can touch the sky Golden strings in your hair We can drink ourselves And become the next stage We were built to spill But only half of us will

What happens when the inks all gone Our names forget themselves Our bodies flutter to the ground And all we know will melt count the times She left the jars out on the porch without the lids He found the holes in all her shoes No matter where she hid them Laying down in the old yard one late summer Before the smoke from mothers blisters had stained the blue With bleach a virgin of surgery He can’t eat anything Chained to dirty pillows He can smell the sun on her skin When she comes in All they ever told me was to listen to my body Now my body’s full of holes and empty birds No one has advice for someone Smitten by the ice We sit and chase the thing we know will soon be gone A sin I must confess to you She spoke without her teeth Would you could you breathe into me that youth I used to be Oh no Oh no I’m afraid Its done The tar has taken our wheels And no one has the tools anymore To explain the way it feels She hears him blink in a dark room Whispering below the sheets When the river runs from marathon Our fingers will be free to touch the edge of everything I would give anything The daughter spoke skeleton keys As the end was beginning Singing And all he ever wanted was to always be exploding Like the phantom of Godiva on the street Running over neon idols with the giggling contra Why did anyone give anything to me Peel the skin off Of all the things that I believe String their organs up Naked in the eyes of forgotten trees Fold our clothes up somewhere No one bleeds or breathes Let us call the world back When we decide what it will be

Banquet 02:43
Blow the top off and roll away Sell the farm for a dim-lit stage Drink the water Give her all you've saved I got friends all over the place Send me postcards “Hey where you been?” See the saints go marching in Before I leave she washed my clothes While I fathom to the bottom of this well Roar down the hallway with a riot on our lips There is something in your eyes that makes me slip I hope you miss me My oldest friend When the saints go marching in
